TOMKAT2 - Pipe and Cable Locator

The TOMKAT2 is a full function, industry standard pipe and cable locator which every ground working operative will find familiar and easy to use. The TOMKAT2 is:

The TOMKAT2 is used to assist in the location of buried pipes and cables to a depth of 3 meters and offers three modes of location.

POWER MODE
Locates live cables radiating a detachable signal.

RADIO MODE
Locates buried metallic conductors carrying a detachable vlf signal.

GENERATOR MODE
Locates buried metallic conductors carrying a detachable signal by induction or connection using the signal generator.

The TOMKAT2 is a user friendly, simple to operate locator. The TOMKAT2 is very user friendly and requires NO RE-TRAINING as it's operates in the same way as other locators presently operate.

SIGEN SIGNAL GENERATOR

The SIGEN Signal Generator works in conjunction with the TOMKAT locator. There are two ways in which the SIGEN Signal Generator operates the first is by applying a signal by induction, the second is by direct connection.

To operate the SIGEN Signal Generator in Induction, simply stand the SIGEN Signal Generator on the ground and turn the orange mode selector to the induction position.

To operate the SIGEN Signal Generator in Direct Connection, connect the SIGEN Signal Generator to the service you wish to trace using the appropriate connection leads, select the connection mode on the SIGEN Signal Generator select the generator mode on the TOMKAT and trace the service.

It is advisable to always use "Connection Mode" whenever possible as this is by far the best way to trace and identify buried conductors.
